Few stories are meant to be Incomplete!!!

Sometimes in life there comes a time when you have to make an important decision. Sometimes you know that it’s time for a few things to end and a few things to begin. No one is perfect in this world and we tend to commit some mistakes in life. But we have to live with the consequences. When you are in a relationship you just know where that relationship is going and where you want to see it in future. And when it is not working out for you, even then you exactly till when it will be there as a part of your life.

Is commitment more important than someone’s happiness? Okay you fall in love with someone, you commit yourself into a relationship, for the first eight-nine months you are extremely happy with how things are going between you two, and then suddenly you start feeling the heat. You try hard to make things work but things are not same anymore. You don’t want it to end but sometimes you don’t have any choice. You have one choice, to think about it. Because you know that you are not happy anymore. Is it wise to drag it further? When you know that you are not happy in that relationship and just tell your partner the way you are feeling. If you chose the former then you are making a big compromise with your life. Perhaps you are sticking to your words, you are fulfilling your commitment but on the cost of your happiness. Maybe that sounds very nice but it is a stupid mistake that are doing now and for this you will never forgive yourself. All the time you will be brooding over this stupid mistake, your whole life will turn into regret and if you are not happy then no one else around you will be happy. The whole visualization of this scenario is damn too scary.

And if you chose the latter, which is you chose happiness over commitment, you will end up breaking someone’s heart. Someone who loves you unconditionally, someone who is very caring and one day suddenly you tell him/her that you are no more into that relationship. The truth will shatter that person, they will start finding faults in their own personality and they will try hard to get you back. But now when you have confronted your feelings to your partner, you are no more afraid of the consequences. You feel good about confronting your feelings. Although it is very tough to understand, maybe you are breaking someone’s heart. But at the same time you are saving two lives future.

This thing is very hard to understand, many people never gives a thought about all this, for them life itself is a big compromise. But for few people who give more importance to happiness over anything else, it is a wise decision.  Now the question arises why you didn’t think about all this when you committed? A very wise question indeed but the issue in the relationship is not because of your partner. You have no problem with him/her. You have a problem with yourself. You are fighting a battle deep within, between your words and your happiness. You are already in a battlefield, fighting the battle. And on both sides two important factors are standing, you don’t know which way to go; you don’t know which one to choose. So you take some time. You wait for that moment when it clicks in your mind which one is more important to you, your words or your happiness. And then you decide to go for your happiness. After all you are another human who committed a big mistake because that time you were happy in the relationship. Now the question is, what really happened which influenced you to make this decision. It’s not necessary that something should happen then only you will make such decisions. Sometimes in life you just know that you won’t be able to live with it forever. You know that it’s time to let this part of your life go, it’s never easy but you have to let it go. Because you know that you are ruining this for your partner, and you have no right to play with other’s life. So you decide to take a wise decision, you decide that you will let this part of your life go. But again it is hard to understand why we are doing it and again it arises too many issues. We have a mind and a heart but most of the time in relationship we make decisions from our heart. People often forget that while making your decision you should always listen to both mind and heart and then come to any point. I don’t who has made this rule that only heart is involved when you are in relationship and the sad part is people are following it.

Breaking someone’s heart is bad but it depends, what made you do that. If you are cheating on your partner then that is bad. If you had a fight and only because of your fights you are doing it, it is reasonable up to a certain level after scrutinsing the level of your fight and the reason of your fight. But when you know that you are not happy and you are not able to keep the other half also happy then coming out of it is the only option you have unless you don’t want to compromise with your life. But people out there they make a big fuss out of it. You become bad in front of everyone, people talk on your back, people accuse you for playing with someone’s emotions and blah blah. Well it is very complicated and it is not easy to make someone understand. And when someone will understand this part of life then they will start making wise decisions in their life.

“Out there in life, you have to make decisions but you have to live with consequences. So you either let it go and free yourselves or you get stuck to this very point.”

Fighting your own battle…

Life is nothing but a battlefield; every now and then we are busy fighting the battle of our life. There is not even a single person in this world who can say that they don’t have any such battle to fight in their life. The situation and the magnitude of everyone’s battle may differ but there is no one who has nothing to fight for. Well that’s life, which is indeed spicy and beautiful. I wonder often what if those battle’s never existed, what if we all are freed from our problems, what if we get to live a life which has everything in its right places and nothing to worry about. How it would be like then? Tasteless, isn’t it?

I also wonder sometimes that how everything in this world is so nicely organized, so well balanced. Whatever happens there exist a reason behind them. Even though the change might be very small but it has got its own values. When we face problems in our life, we often get too worked up and keep on sulking in life. And then end up blaming others, telling them that “they can’t understand you because they aren’t in their place” but does that mean you are the only one who is facing problems in life, as if you are the only person left in this world with issues. People say whoever has experienced a lot they have a different perspective from others. That’s quite true. When we learn from our experiences, we become more and more cautious. We become more and more insecure in search of a secured life. We start playing safe, always try to avoid complications in life. Perhaps doing this is wise but sometime all we need to do is let ourselves go and have a carefree attitude towards life. Sometimes we must break the cage in which we have been living our life from such a long time. When you succeed in doing so we are headed towards your destination.

Everyone have got their own battle to fight, it is the destiny of every people of this world. Some are fighting with others, while some are fighting with themselves. Stop living your life in a cage. That might just stop you to reach where you always wanted to reach in life. To do this you need no strategy, no planning. All you need to have is an attitude to take risks in life, the will to listen to your heart, the courage to face failures that you will meet in your way, the kindness to treat others well and the self-belief that no matter what happens, how tough it gets you are going to make it, you will reach where you always wanted to reach and there is nothing stopping you, there nothing coming in your way.

The Turtle Walk!!!

Friday night, we decided to go for turtle walk. Turtle walk is an event which is organized by the aquatic department for the conservation of turtle eggs. Basically it’s a three months drive in which they cover a certain distance of beach in whole night and try finding the nest of a turtle, if there’s egg in those nests then they make sure those eggs are kept safely in the hatchery. The drive was good and so was the walk. Although it was damn tiring, we covered almost the distance of 10 km that night. Initially I thought it won’t be that tiring as I am habituated to walk. But I forgot that there is a huge difference in walking on road when compared to walking on sand. We reached the spot at around 11pm at night. The drive kicked off after half an hour. There were many others also apart from our college group, so they divided us into two groups and assigned few scouts with both the groups. The drive started with the introduction of the turtle walk, the reason behind it and what we are gonna do tonight. It was very informative I must say, I was not aware of many such things about turtles. I didn’t know the fact that each turtle lays around 50-180 eggs and out of which the ratio of turtles surviving is negligible. Out of almost 1000 turtles which are born the probability of surviving till their adulthood is only 1 out of 1000. I was shocked, I asked my friends about it. And then they told me that as soon as turtles come out of their egg all they want to do is jump into the sea. They are very desperate to move into the sea. When the female turtle comes to the beach and lays egg, she goes back to the ocean without giving a thought about those eggs future. They are born to become independent. So they don’t need any guidance, they don’t need anyone else. As soon as they come out from their nest they jump into the ocean and most of them are dead then and there. Because they are too small, they are often eaten by the dogs, crabs, fishes and humans.

According to the law of nature, turtles are born to balance the food chain for many other creatures. There are some kinds of fishes who live on turtles. And many other creatures. I was shocked to know all this, just imagine that you are born to be eaten by someone. I had a series of doubts, that we know they will die as soon as they come out of from their egg then why can’t we keep them in a protected area and when they are grown up we can leave them into the sea. And the answer to this question was, they are born to become independent. They know how to deal with their life and so if we interfere in that then they will lose their will power and become dependent. I had just one thought after that, what a creature!!!

The main reason why turtles are also on the verge of getting extinct is Poaching and overfishing. These are major issues that we should discourage. What actually happens in overfishing is, the machine catches those fishes also which are not use for trading, so if that machine have those kinds of fishes then they are thrown after a while into the sea. Till that time they are dead. And sometimes even turtles become the victim of that machine and eventually even they die. We can use the traditional form of fishing here, because fishermen knows what they are supposed to catch and not. But the machine won’t know anything about it.

The main thing is we have come too far and now we can’t go back. Our resources are degrading day by day; many creatures are getting extinct which will directly affect the food chain in turn unbalancing the law of nature. And when the law of nature is not satisfied then that day the earth will wipe us out. I believe in a theory behind when and how the world will come to an end. When we will reach that point where earth will have nothing to offer us in terms of resources and when we will break the law of nature then that day the earth will wipe us out forever. Like how dinosaurs became the victim of extinction. Same way we will be passing through that phase someday. Everything in this world is so balanced that they have cure for everything. One civilization goes and after several years a new one always starts. So someday this world which was created by nature but destroyed by humans will come to an end and after another hundreds of years later a new one will start. That’s the theory I believe in. But it’s not possible for us to attain equilibrium now. We have destroyed so much here that whatever we do in the name of conservation, it won’t help at all. It will just give us few more years to live on.

So after the discussion we started walking. It seemed exciting in the beginning but then after a while it started taking a toll on every one of us. But we kept on walking, enjoying the sea breeze and walking along the sea shore with a bunch of people. We saw many crabs, dead fishes, snakes on our way to find the turtle nest. And after walking for almost 10 km finally we found one such nest which had like 82 fresh eggs. The scout told us that those eggs were laid just one hour ago. We checked the eggs, the nest kept the eggs safely in cotton bag and went to the hatchery where they are kept safely. When the walk was over I checked my watch, it was 4:45am. We started walking at around 1:30am. We were tired but the experience was somewhat different and new. We have never walked so much; we saw many new things which exist in this world. We came across many different feelings after spotting so many dead fishes along the shore. Overall it was one nice experience; we sat there for a while and then decided to see the sunrise before heading home. And that scene was magical; all you could see is sun popping up from the sea as if it’s coming out from the sea actually. It seemed nice and fresh and when we were leaving we realized how much our body was aching and all we needed was a nice sound sleep.

You have a dream, you gotta protect it!!!

Almost 80% of the world’s population have no clue what they are doing with their life, no clue what they want from their life and no idea regarding their ultimate aim of life. They are just going with the flow, running with the crowd just to ensure that they have sufficient to lead a normal life. But there are some different kind of people in this world, who wants to try out different things in life, for them there exists no such thing called a normal life. Those people have a dream, and they are willing to do anything to achieve their dream. They are willing to take risks, get up every time after they fall but never give up on their dream. But in a country like ours especially, it’s quite tough for anyone to dream. And for a person who comes from a middle class family, it’s damn tough to achieve it. Every people around them will show no support, all they would do is suppress them with their idea of living a life.

If you turn back the pages, most of the people who are some renowned personality now, who are legends now went through the same phases. They faced a series of failures in their life, their will was almost shattered by the people around them but they never gave up. They kept on working for their dream. And when that day arrived in their life, when they succeeded in living their dream, it changed the whole dynamics of the field they went into, the way how people use to look at them was no more the same.

I have learnt a fact about people, when things are going smoothly in your life, everyone around you will be showering their praises and compliments upon you. And when suddenly things start going wrong in your life, you won’t find anyone then who would even try to understand what is going on in your head. There won’t be any support coming from anywhere. I don’t understand this theory, to support people only during their highs and make their life living hell during their lows. If you can’t be a part of someone’s failure, you can never be a part of their success. Failures are a part of life, without which you will never taste success. Whoever has tasted success in their life, they have been through a series of failures. Perhaps that’s the reason why many people back out even when they are only one step behind from achieving their dream.

In the walk of your life, if you have a dream then you must walk that path alone. You must take your own stand, and fight for your dream. You must pay its price, no matter how tough it gets; all you need to do is keep on moving ahead. Smile at all your failures because one day you are going to narrate those stories to people, because you are going to inspire many others by doing what you are good at.

It’s tough to live your dream but it’s not impossible. There might be a slight delay in that, but when it will happen there won’t be anything stopping you.

“You have a dream, you gotta protect it. Don’t let anyone say you can’t do something.”

Wisdom Tree…

I was sitting on platform number one, at Bangalore Cantonment Station and to my surprise the platform was a deserted place even in the broad daylight. My train was an hour late and I had no other choice than to sit there all alone. I was getting bored, also I forgot to charge my iPod and even the time was passing by at snail’s pace. So I started doing what I am good at, I started observing my surrounding. Whenever I am alone or sometimes even with people my mind is always busy observing something, in search of some story or something unusual about which people don’t care in their busy life. Forget about something unusual, these days people don’t have time to even reflect on their life. They will waste their time stalking someone’s profile on Facebook; nevertheless they will take some time out and reflect on their life. They are always unaware of the fact that there are so many little things which happens around us but they are always being ignored or never noticed at all.

So I was all alone on the platform and I had to do something to pass my time. And what I saw in the next twenty minutes of my life filled my heart with immense joy and happiness. It was something I have never seen in my life ever before, something which we never see in our busy life. For some people this might not be much of a use because there are some people who do things only because they will get something in return. No one wants to spend their time on something which will give only happiness in return. They call it a waste of time. For those people I feel sorry and this blog is not for them.

There were rice grains lying on the floor and pigeons started coming out from somewhere and gathered around the grains. They started picking them up as fast as they could, filling their beaks full of grains. And then there was this one fat ass pigeon in the middle that started fighting with other pigeons. To my surprise that one pigeon was enough for the other six pigeons. He did not let anyone to pick any grains, and he was standing in the middle all alone picking up the grains all by himself. And if some pigeon tried to come near him and pick some grains, immediately he will run towards them and hit them. They had no other choice than to stand and watch him take all the grains. This continued for a while until another pigeon came from somewhere again, stood in front of that fat ass pigeon looked into his eyes and pushed him out of the crowd.

And now this new pigeon started doing the same thing with the rest of the pigeons left. It seemed as if the new pigeon was some big shot of that area who couldn’t tolerate the fact that some other pigeon was trying to rule over in his area. I was enjoying the show and I was the only audience there to record the fight between pigeons. Never before in my life have I ever seen eight pigeons fighting with each other for food.
And then what came next was the best example of team work I could ever give to anyone. The fight was between seven pigeon versus a lone ranger. Those seven pigeons teamed up and decided to take on the lone ranger together. They divided into the teams of two and gathered around the rice grains from every side. At one point, one team will go and hit the lone ranger while the other teams from other side would go and pick up the grains. By the time the lone ranger could realize it was already too late for him and then again he got hit from the other side. This continued until there were no grains left on the floor and the lone ranger was left perplexed and trolled. And those seven pigeons flew away after filling up their beak with grains. I don’t know whether they distributed the grains among themselves or not. But that sight was amazingly beautiful and it happened at the right time when I was alone and the only audience to witness their show. I was still in the awe of that moment.

When you are alone you often tend to witness the beauty of nature. And it is so true. In the daily hustling bustling of our life, we often ignore even if we see something very unusual. But I feel good about myself that I am not among those people who ignore things instead I always record in the back of my head all those moments and share with the people on my blog. There is always a chance of learning from every creature of this world. After a while I boarded the train, took my seat and then it clicked in my head, why the platform was empty all this while so that I could see what I have never seen in my life before, so that I could witness the beauty of nature, so that I can reflect upon it, so that I can write about it and share it with the world.

Post-Valentine Week: #6 Because Love Never Dies…

I planned to post seven real life love stories during the valentine week. However I got caught up with some work and I could post only five stories. So I decided to post the rest of the two stories under the title, Post-Valentine week stories. And obviously there is a need of few stories to end your hangover of Valentine week with…

It was midnight; I and Vipin were at the terrace. We were stoned and we were witnessing the beauty of the nature in silence. Stars were twinkling bright and it was a full moon day. Out of the blue, Vipin broke the silence,

“Light one cigarette bro!”

“Sure” I said and took out a cigarette, lit it up, took a long drag and passed it to him.

“You know bro; the best thing to do when you are stoned is to witness the beauty of the nature.” He said

“I know bro.” I said

“Why you are so silent than usual?” he asked me

“There is something which is going on in my head from a long time now. I always thought of asking you but couldn’t muster up the courage to face you.” I said

“What is it bro?” he asked me

I let out a sigh of relief, mustered up all my courage and asked him,

“What happened with her?”

There was a silence for a while, perhaps I have touched some personal topic which I shouldn’t have, I reflected.

The story starts with the start of our college; it was the first day of our college I was trying to get along with people around me when I got a call from some unknown number.

“Hello” he said

“Is this Vipin?” said someone from the other end

“Yes speaking, may I know who this is?” he asked her

“I am jenny’s sister. She is in hospital and her condition is somewhat critical. She is in ICU unit. Before getting unconscious she asked me to convey this message to you. Can you come here?” she said

“I am coming.” He said and hung up the call

He drove his bike as fast as he could; he skipped a few signals and finally arrived at the hospital. He parked his bike, asked the receptionist regarding the ICU unit, climbed up the stairs and he saw her parents sitting outside the ICU unit.

“What happened to her?” he asked them

Everyone was crying and no one said anything to him. Their silence was killing him from within. He didn’t know whether she was critical or not. He didn’t know whether she is going to make it or not. He peeked through the glass window and there she was lying unconsciously with several pipes attached to her body, it made him feel even more miserable. Tears started coming out from his eyes and he didn’t try to control them at all. He excused himself for a while, went downstairs stood in one corner and cried his heart out. He has never seen her in such conditions, he had never imagined in the wildest of his dreams and when today he saw her in that situation he couldn’t help but cried his heart out. After a while, he got a call again from her sister. He disconnected it and ran upstairs. When he entered the room he saw her smiling at him. Even in this condition she gave him that smile for which he was mad. Her gesture moved him completely. He held her hand and started crying.

“Hey what happened to you? I am fine Vipin, please stop crying now.” She said

He didn’t say a word; he kept on crying uncontrollably until the doctors came in and asked him to leave. As soon as he came outside he asked her sister,

“What happened to her?”

“She tried to commit suicide.” She said which blew his ears off, eyes almost popped out and mouth was wide open.

“But why she would do that?” he asked her

“I don’t know. Only she knows the reason behind it. I thought there was something wrong between you two and because of that she must have done that. But she told me that this has nothing to do with you while you were downstairs.” She said

He was perplexed. He had no clue why on earth she would do that. Several thoughts started circulating in his head until the doctors came out and said,

“She is fine now. However we will keep her for few more days. She has been traumatized with something which she wouldn’t tell. But her condition is serious and it requires attention. She is still very weak both mentally and physically. I would suggest you all not to bring any such topic which might disturb her. Just keep her motivating and she will recover from this quite soon. She needs your support that’s all.”

He had mixed feelings at that point of time. He was glad that she was out of danger but why did she try to take her own life was something which was still disturbing him to the core. Her parents were not telling him anything about this situation. And he can’t ask her anything about this as the doctors advised him. It was a case of chaos all over the place.

Every day after college he used to go to the hospital and meet her. He would always take a bunch of flowers for her, he would sit there for hours and hours and tell her the stories from his college, friends and when she would laugh over his jokes he would just gaze at her. It used to give him inner peace which he didn’t get anywhere else or from anyone else.

Days turned into weeks and weeks into a month, she was discharged finally from the hospital and she was back at home. But even in her room she had all the medical equipment’s like oxygen machine, heart-pulse rate machine. He never brought that topic ever again and all he did was spent most of his time with her and pray to god that she should come out of this very soon.

This continued till one and half years. She was still not completely recovered from her state.  She was still trapped in that trauma. However she showed from outside that she was happy but there was something which was killing her from inside.

That night, again he got a call from her sister, he panicked.

“Hello is everything fine with her?” he asked her

“We lost her Vipin. She is no more.” She said and stated crying

And he couldn’t listen more. He disconnected the call and became quite. He was sitting with his parents, he couldn’t react. After a while he excused himself for a while, he went on to the terrace, sat on one corner and silently wept for the rest of the night.

There was an eerie silence, yet again. I was completely moved with his story. I was almost close to tears. Perhaps even he was. We didn’t say a word for a while to suppress our emotions. And then he broke the silence, yet again

“You know bro, I never used to smoke, booze that time. But since then I couldn’t help. I couldn’t talk about it because I was not that close to anyone in college. I needed a support which I never got from anyone and so in search of that support I ended up doing everything. However I don’t have any regrets regarding all this. I only have a regret that I never got to know why she tried to take her own life. And that too twice.  First time it was her luck or maybe fate which saved her. But when it happened the second time, even her fate betrayed her and I lost her forever. But she is in here, deep down, in my heart.” He said

I just hugged him tightly and whispered into his ears, “I am sorry bro!”

I wonder why I come across such people all the time. Why is it me every time? When I look at him, I feel terrible. Why life is so unfair with us?

Perhaps god makes me meet these people so that I can write their story and share with the world.

Valentine week: #5 The Story that touched my heart…

Before I begin with the story, I would like to wish every one of you a very special valentine’s day. May god bless you all and help you to find the one who came in this world for you. May god bless you in the best of your times and help you during all the lows of your relationship. Nothing is perfect in this world, and so there comes a time in our life when things don’t go right in our relationship. When that will happen just hold on with the one you love and fight together, because it’s just the test of time. And when you succeed to do that, your love blossoms and it gets a direction.

On the occasion of Valentine ’s Day I will be sharing three real life love stories throughout the day. The story which I am going to share is a very special story. It’s about a girl who was handicapped, who almost lost her hopes with life, who never thought would be able to get someone in life who will love her unconditionally. But when things which are destined to happen, it happens. And when that happened, her happiness knew no bounds, no limits…

She was quite young when one accident in her life changed the whole course of her life. She was a kind of girl who was very strong and ambitious. But life had something else in store for her. And in one stroke it took away all her happiness of this world. She met an accident which resulted in turning her into a handicap. For quite some time, she lost her self-confidence and she couldn’t figure out the reason behind her existence. Whatever dreams she had meticulously knitted for her life was now in dumps. She couldn’t fight with the dark times that overshadowed her life. But it was the support from her parents that she came out of this trauma and worked hard to bag a job. She used to be on wheel chair all the time, but she used to work hard and slowly she started getting recognition from everyone at her workplace. But deep within her there was something about which she couldn’t do anything. She always wanted to fall in love with someone, experience the thrill and magic of love. But looking at her own condition now she couldn’t help but cry nights after nights. She was way too beautiful, she had innocence on her face which was something heavenly. She always asked god why this happened with her. People are materialistic, who will fall in love with someone who is supposed to spend the rest of her life on a wheel chair. No one wants to take someone’s responsibility. Her hopes were shattered, and she had almost befriended with her solitude. All she used to do was, go to work, come back home watch TV and sleep. There was a part inside her which was dying gradually. She didn’t know what she will do. How she will take care of herself for the rest of her life. Who will be there with her after her mom and dad. This thought always used to disturb her to the core.

But whatever happens, it happens for our own good. When we pass through rough phases in life that happens because god was busy during that time making great plans for us. One weekend, she was at home reading newspaper when suddenly she saw an ad in the matrimonial column which said,

I want someone who really needs me. I want to marry someone who will love me unconditionally.”

She was surprised to see such ad in the matrimonial column because that was something very unusual. She was already impressed with the guy who has put up this ad. Is there someone like him in this world was her first thoughts. She took some time to think about it and then she decided to contact that guy. He was from Tamil Nadu, a Tamilian Brahmin. She called him,

“Hello, my name is Niva. I saw your ad in the newspaper.” She said

“Hi Niva. My name is Vignesh. Can I know from where you are calling?” he said

“I am a Gujarati, I stay in Surat with my family. I am working in State bank of India as a branch manager.” She said

“Oh nice. I am from Tamil Nadu, working in HP as a software engineer in Chennai.” He said

“Before I ask you about anything, I would like to tell you that I am a handicapped. Whole day I spend my life on wheel chair and I am completely dependent on people for many things.” She said

“I am really sorry about  that. But how it is related with my marriage proposal?” he asked her
She was shocked with his reply. She was expecting that he would say something politely and hung up the call. But this was something very unusual for her.

“I would like to meet you Niva.” He said

“When? I won’t be able to come to Chennai in this condition.” She said

“I will come to Surat. Tell me the dates when you are available and I will make sure that I come there to meet you.” He said

“Okay.” She said

She was surprised. She couldn’t believe what was happening. She pinched herself, she wanted to know whether she was dreaming or it was the reality. After two weeks Vignesh came to Surat, he was invited by Niva’s family to their house. He was tall, dark and handsome. Someone from whom Niva’s gaze was not moving away at all. She felt embarrassed for gazing a guy like that but he had something very magical in his personality which differentiated him from other people. The way he talks, the thoughts he has was simply amazing. I mean who wants to hold hand of a handicapped girl in today’s time. And he was perfectly fine when it came to his physique. It wasn’t even like he was also disabled and needed someone who would understand his disability. He could have married anyone, girls must be dying over him. She wanted to know why he was doing this.

“Before we jump on to other things, I just want to know, why you want to marry someone like me. You  are perfectly fine, do you realize what your life will become if you marry me? I can’t even use the washroom by myself. Why you are doing this?” she asked him

“I don’t know, as I have written in the ad I want someone who really needs me, who will love me unconditionally. I don’t care whether you are disabled or not. Because that hardly matters for me. Even if you are completely dependent on me I don’t mind it at all. And I will make sure that I give you everything you aspire for, you dream for. I want to live a kind of life, that when I am at the door of my death I could look back and feel happy about it.” He said

He won her heart. Undoubtedly there would never exist any such guy who will think this way. Even though she was way too beautiful, it used to get unnoticed just because of her disability. But this guy was someone so pure, he needed a partner who will love him from her heart irrespective of what her physical condition is. The whole family was impressed with the guy and they had no objection. Niva’s dad enquired about his family and they got to know that Vignesh’s mom and dad are not alive and he stayed alone in Chennai. However there were his family members with whom he had already discussed before coming here. Soon the families met and their marriage was fixed. It was Niva’s choice to decide the kind of marriage they will do, whether it will be a Gujarati style or tamilian style wedding. And to everyone’s surprise she wanted to go for Tamil style marriage. Vignesh knew he was going in the right path, he has found the right girl.

And within few months they got married in Surat in a Tamil style marriage which surprised everyone. Whoever came to their wedding were deeply touched by both of them. There was this guy called Vignesh who brought light in Niva’s life when she had no hopes from her life. And there was this girl who decided to marry him in his traditions. Who gets to see weddings like this?

It’s been almost ten years of their marriage now. Vignesh and Niva are still in Chennai, they have got their own house, and they have two wonderful kids. Till date Vignesh gets up every morning, take Niva to the washroom do her every work, lift her whenever required, drop her to her office where he would again lift her and drop her inside her cabin. Then he will go for his work. And while returning he would pick her up and take her home. She feels blessed now. There was a time when she used to curse her life for turning her into a handicapped. But now she realized why that happened with her, if that would have not happened then she would have never came across guy like Vignesh who comes in this world once over a century, who has made her life so beautiful that there is no space for any other issues of life. Whatever comes in their way, they face it together. They deal with every situation together. They have set an example for all the people out there. I salute this couple from my heart, and wish them the best of times forever and ever.

Are they God in form of human or human in form of god?

On that note I would like to conclude this with a quote,

“If you are willing to love someone unconditionally then nothing else matters.”

Valentine week: #4 Ooopppss I fell in love…

Today I confess one thing about this valentine week, posting real life love story every day is not a cup of tea as I thought it will be. And how I have missed posting two stories twice this week. Today I was supposed to share story number six for this week and end the week tomorrow with the final story. However I promise you all that I will be sticking to my word and by the end of this valentine week you will have seven real life stories to reflect upon, or who knows even more.

There is a small story behind this story which I am going to share. I was quite clueless after sharing three love stories, I was clueless about the fourth one. I won’t kid you, I really was short of few stories so that I can compile this week with seven love stories. And I had gone to Bangalore for few days where I met a friend of mine from school days and he shared his love story which was intense as well as quite interesting and then something flickered into my head and a smile flashed over my face. Yes I got the other one was my first thoughts. So let’s not beat around the bush and come directly to the story…

It was during those times when internet became a fashion, social media was something which was really new in our world and everyone was crazy about Orkut. People used to be so active on Orkut, and feel so happy checking their scraps, testimonials, comments and community. It was an extension to their same life. It was something unusual, something different and that feeling gave immense pleasure to so many people. When they could re-connect with their childhood friends, relatives it was a beginning of a whole new era. And that was the time when a guy named Amit met Tanvi over Orkut. Before you start expecting that they fell in love as soon as they came across each other then I am sorry to disappoint you. The case is very much different from what you have thought so far. Amit was a kind of guy who was not bothered about getting into relationships or flirting around with girls. Although he was not even gay. He was in ninth grade at that time. And his thoughts were completely different back then, if I am supposed to put this in some way then he was someone who would run away from the spot if any girl spoke to him. He was way too shy when it came to talking with girls, and moreover he was too busy in his happening life to even care about having girlfriends unlike his other friends who were literally going gaga over girls. So one fine day he came across this girl Tanvi in one of his community on Orkut, and they started hating each other from the very first day. Neither of them knew the reason, it was a feeling of hatred, something which came naturally to them about each other. Whole day both of them used to be busy knocking each other down and one of them would win at the end of the day. And the next day was followed by the same thing all over again. This continued almost for the next two years, when one day Amit decided to keep everything aside for a while and talk to her. Because he had too much of fights with her and he was literally done fighting in his life. He had never fought with anyone so much before in his life. And when he began talking to her, she was confused why all of a sudden Amit was talking to her so nicely. And in this confusion of their changed behaviour towards each other was the reason behind the start of their friendship.

And with the start of their friendship, Facebook became quite famous and took over Orkut. Things were upgrades, from scraps to wall, and a much more secured account with so many different applications and games attracted more people towards it. And so they shifted their gears and began chatting with each other almost daily. It used to be a normal conversation, trying to know about each other well. Most of the time both of them had the same feeling that they were so wrong about each other before when all they used to do was fighting with each other like cats and dogs. And it gave them a chance to unveil the other side of each other which both of them liked and their friendship was being nurtured quite well. After two years of fighting around it took Amit another two years to ask her number. He was damn too shy to do that as well as quite scared. Several thoughts used to keep circulating in his head, questions like what If she says no, what if it ruins our friendship used to disturb him a lot. But somehow he even managed to do that one day. He asked her number and she gave him without asking about anything. And then he realised what kind of dumbass he has been all this while breaking his head over so many things. He never thought it would be so easy to do that. It just required a bit of confidence. However they hardly used to call each other. And after passing his 12th grade he went to Bangalore and joined an engineering college. She was still in Delhi. While going back to his hometown from Bangalore during his vacation he met her for the first time on Delhi airport. He asked her if she could drop by to meet him as his connecting flight was from Delhi. She didn’t hesitate a bit and turned up on the airport. While in his head, it was another fight going on with so many thoughts which made him quite nervous. As this was the first time in his life he was going to meet any girl alone. So he had to be impressive as well as confident. But she knew how Amit was and she made sure he felt quite comfortable in her company. It was a nice time spent together and then he boarded his flight for his hometown.

Once he was in his hometown, they started talking with each other on Facebook, Skype, text messages, everything which was available. But they never called each other. They always wanted to but always left it on time. And one day suddenly he got a message from her which said, “Why didn’t you say anything last night when you had called me?” and he was confused. He checked his dialled list immediately to find her number in the middle of night. And he realised maybe while sleeping he had pressed call button. But what a coincidence, he might have pressed the button while sleeping but the thing was why only her number out of so many in his contact list. So he decided to call her that night and explain her what happened with him last night. That was the first time they were going to talk over phone, and they ended up speaking with each other for the whole night. Both of them were enjoying each other company so much that neither of them even thought about the time. And when they checked the time then they realised that they have spent the whole night on phone. And since then it became their habit, with every day passing by they started spending a lot of time with each other. They started sharing everything that used to happen with them during the whole day, discuss minute problems and other issues of life. And that was the time when they realised how comforting it was to be in each other’s company.
And one day during their one of the conversation she asked him something out of the blue.

“Can I come to Bangalore to meet you?” said Tanvi

“What? Really? Yes sure come if you can.” Amit said

“You know something I have never experienced a kind of life that you live, away from parents, sneaking into hostel at late nights, having fun with friends, going on long drives. I want to experience it all. So I want to come there and spend some time enjoying my life with you.” Tanvi said

“Hmmm. What I can say? I would just say one thing, if it is possible for you to come then do come to Bangalore.” Amit said

And suddenly a week later she was in Bangalore. She called Amit and asked him to meet her. She was staying with her brother. Amit was nervous, that day it took him almost two hours to get ready. Somehow he managed to meet her on time. She was looking way too gorgeous, and that was the first thing which came out of his mouth.

“You look gorgeous.” Amit said

And she blushed. That was enough to make him understand that his compliment made her quite happy. Amit had already planned everything for her the same day when she told him what all she wanted to do. She was in Bangalore for a week, and Amit made sure that he does everything he could to fulfil her wish. And soon the week was over and she was supposed to leave the next day early morning around 4 am. They met each other the last evening and when she was leaving for her brother’s place she asked him something.

“Can I hug you? Because I know that even if you want to hug me you will never say that.” Tanvi said

He didn’t say anything and she took it as his approval and hugged him tightly. It shook his whole body, blood started rushing everywhere. This was the first time he got a hug from any girl and not just any girl, lately he has started liking Tanvi a lot but as always he was way too shy to say anything. She hugged him and left for her brother’s place. He stood there for a while. He felt different. It was something magical which he never felt before. And he was sure now about one thing that he has fallen in love. But his mind was not ready to accept that. He has not been like this before in his life, he was totally different, he was someone who used to think that relationship and love is a waste of time. But he couldn’t believe it how this happened with him. And that too with someone whom he hated so much in his life. He fell for someone who made his life hell in his community on Orkut. This was something unbelievable for him. And he reflected on those four years how things have changed so dramatically for him. After a while he took a cab and left for his hostel. He was experiencing the magic of love now but the thought that she will leave for Delhi tomorrow morning and he had no clue when he will meet her again gave him a thud in his stomach. He called up his friend who knew about his feelings for Tanvi,

“Dude she hugged me. What am I supposed to do now?” said Amit

“Nothing just go and propose her you idiot.” He said

“Okay.” Amit said and hung up the call

“Bhaiya please turn around the cab, I want to go back from where you picked me.” Amit said

“What????” the cab driver was perplexed

“Fast Bhaiya, it is really urgent. Take a U-turn now.” Said Amit

And the cab driver took a sharp U-turn and drove back to her place. As soon as the driver took the U-turn he saw her sister’s car coming from the other side and he got so nervous that he asked the cab driver to take him back to his room. But he had to propose her, doesn’t matter if he couldn’t meet her at her place he decided to meet her early in the morning around 4 am at the airport. He didn’t tell her anything, he wanted to give her a grand surprise. He booked a cab for early morning, ordered a bouquet of red roses to be delivered at the airport around 4 am and whole night he was sitting on a chair so that he shouldn’t fall asleep. But if that would have happened then it would have become too predictable and easy for him to confess his love. And no wonder why he dozed off. When he woke up, it was already 7 am, she had left for Delhi and his whole plan has flopped. He had no clue when he fell asleep. He was shocked how things has turned out so differently. Whatever he plans everything just gets spoiled. Before this day, while she was in Bangalore during that week he took her once to Hard Rock Café where he made arrangements with the guest band so that he can propose her in front of everyone. He even held her hand and moved in the front to see the performance of the band and when the time came for him to propose her, he was too nervous to do that and he left. Today he was regretting that. If he would have done that then today this wouldn’t have happened. However he left it on time, and waited for the right moment to arrive.

And the right moment arrived very soon, the next day after what happened he decided to propose her when they were talking over phone, that night after so many years of fighting, arguing and so many great moments they shared with each other, he took the initiative to sum up the whole thing and present in front of her as a gift of love for her in his one sentence which seemed magical for her.

“What if I tell you that I like you?” Amit said out of the blue

She became quite now. For almost five minutes she was quite which gave shivers down his spine. All they could hear was each other’s breathe. And after five minutes of the wait finally she broke the silence,

“And what if I tell you that I like you too…” Tanvi said

And again there was a moment of silence for another five minutes.

“Is it only liking or is it love?” asked Tanvi

“Both of them are same thing know.” Amit said

And both of them started laughing. Yes finally he had proposed her. He had said what he always wanted to say from a long time and she accepted it. Even she wanted the same thing to happen perhaps. And that night when he told her that he actually tried twice to propose her when she was in Bangalore, she couldn’t help but kept on laughing on his state. And when he told the U-turn story then she told him, “You could have still come to my place and proposed me. I could have come down.” And he felt like an idiot for not thinking about that. But still what is destined to happen that happens no matter how hard you try. He never thought that after knitting all those proposal plans so meticulously he will end up proposing in the most stupid way. However that’s other thing that it didn’t happen the way he wanted, he always wanted to propose her in a grand way. But in that moment of happiness both of them forgot about the whole world and kept on talking with each other the whole night.

And it became their habit to spend the whole night over phone until unless someone used to doze off in the middle of night. But after one month or two they started feeling the heat of their relationship. Whenever either of them used to be busy it always erupted a fight between them. And sometimes it made him think, maybe this was not his right decision to get into relationship. But she was someone who would never leave him at any point, even after fighting with him she would call him and ask him whether he had his dinner or not and if not then she would make sure that he eats his dinner. And that moment Amit would feel that she was someone so right, so nice, so beautiful, and so lovely. She cared for him and so did he.

A few months later, he decided to meet her in Delhi to spend their first valentine day together. When he gave this news to his brother, his brother was so excited to see who this girl was who changed the thinking and mind-set of his brother, even he came to Delhi along with one of his cousin. Amit reached Delhi a day before the Valentine’s Day where he saw Tanvi with loads of present probably for him. And his brother and cousin were already waiting for him. Amit introduced them to his girl and they booked a cab from the airport. While sitting in the cab, Amit was sitting in the middle, on one side Tanvi was sitting and on the other side his brother was sitting. His cousin took the front seat. As soon as the cab left the airport Tanvi gave him seven presents, each for every special day of the valentine week. He was delighted to know that she took care of every little details and actually she got him present for seven days. And she kissed his cheek wishing him happy kiss day. Amit got all worked up as his brother was sitting beside him, he was feeling way too shy so he whispered into her ears, “my brother is here…” he kept on whispering that into her ear and suddenly he felt something over his lips. He felt something warm, he didn’t even realise when she kissed him. It felt great, it was something which was magical, he was speechless he didn’t know how to express this feelings in words. And some feelings are such that you can’t express in words, to experience such feelings we kiss the one with whom we are in love. And they had their first kiss on kiss day in a cab. And after spending the valentine day with her, he came back to Bangalore.

Even after facing few hurdles which came in their way they kept aside their ego and followed each other’s heart. Their love and care for each other was enough for their relationship to sail through all the rough phases, all the tough times, and all the storms that they came in their way. It obviously took a toll on both of them for a while but soon enough they came out and they came out of all those troubles with flying colours. And that was time when they realised that fights and issues are a part of life, but that doesn’t change anything in their relationship. Soon enough they overcame the feeling of possessiveness for each other, the insecurities that they had which usually spoils any long distant relationship was no longer present between them, they started giving each other enough space so that no one feels that this relation has become a burden for them. What all was left was just love and care which brought them even closer and finally made them believe in one fact that it was destiny which brought them together and they are supposed to be together. From strangers to friends and from being friends to someone so close to heart was a kind of indication that they are supposed to be together. All they need to do is love each other unconditionally and walk together in this walk of life.

When he was done with his story, I felt glad. I didn’t know that someday he would be in a relationship. And knowing the fact that both of them have overcame so many negative feelings which usually spoils people relationship made me feel really glad about their relationship. And that was the moment when I decided to share this story for this valentine week. However it is also my destiny that I came across this story in the middle of this valentine week when I was actually short on stories. It was my destiny to listen to his story so that I can share this with all my readers.
